Gretchen
Gretchen is a sweet and timid girl.
She loves treats and attention, has lovely dark tri-color coloring.
Sally
Sally (a.k.a Charlie in our home) is a sweet older girl.
She is reminds us very much of Ella. We were glad to learn she is a half sister to her. She loves attention, is the smallest Pocket Beagle we have seen and is the mother to Gretchen.
Rietta
Rietta loves to be on your lap, in bed snuggling or romping and playing out and about. She can be a bit mischievous!
She has a beautiful, soft coat and has gorgeous ears.
Little Missy Peanut – Retired
Little Missy Peanut is full of mischievous fun.
She is smart like her momma, learns fast (mostly what she can get away with). She is a great momma to her pups and loves to play and explore.
Ella – Retired
Ella is our main gal on the ranch and our constant companion. She has been on the ranch longer than any of our other dogs. She loves to travel with us, to chase the cows around and herd them, to be with us in the garden and to sleep and sun herself on our bed. Recently Ella has been retired and is enjoying life around the ranch!
Our Males
Chevy
Chevy has us amazed! He has always produced amazing pups with great markings and has given good litter sizes. He is velvet soft and has the wonderful, long beagle ears. He loves to go on walks, chase the children on their bikes and play with our boy on different adventures.
Rowdy
This is Rowdy. He is wonderfully marked, perfectly named, small in size and has great confirmation. He is smart and cocks his head when you talk to him. He has adjusted very well coming up from the warm US to cold Saskatchewan as a pup, jumping and running in the snow. He loves attention and being with other dogs. We have high expectations for him with breeding and anticipate what his pups will look like!
About the Pocket Beagle
Pocket Beagles are an original breed with pure bloodlines, not a toy size or a miniature. They are small in size, averaging 8-11 ½” tall and have a traditional beagle look. They can easily live inside and out in appropriate weather.
These dogs are very lovable, loyal and smart. They thrive being around people, especially their favourite people. They love to snuggle and be lazy but also love to run around, are frisky, chase and play.
Living on the ranch, we have some dogs that live inside, some outside and some both. Outdoor dogs have appropriate, safe housing that is suitable for all weather conditions. They travel with us with ease and have great temperament with children of all ages.
